9 Made in USA Jeans Brands Committed to American Manufacturing
Making jeans in the USA is hard work, requiring people, machines, and years of manufacturing knowledge. This list covers the best jeans made in USA from brands that own and operate their own factories.

About this list
This list is curated by Todd Shelton, an American-made jeans manufacturer with its own factory in New Jersey since 2012. Todd Shelton makes all-cotton jeans with inseams from 26 to 38 inches for men of all heights, including jeans for short men and jeans for tall men.
This list features brands that own their jean factories and sell directly through an online store. Factory ownership means the brand controls its own production without relying on third-party manufacturers. All brands on this list cut and sew jeans in the USA.
While all brands on this list make their jeans in the USA, most use imported denim. For specific denim origin information, refer to each brand’s individual product pages.

Why owning a factory matters for Made in USA jeans
Owning a jean factory in the USA means controlling production, quality, and fit from the floor up. The brands on this list cut and sew in their own facilities. Unlike brands that contract production, factory owners cannot easily move manufacturing offshore when costs rise or margins tighten. The factory is the commitment.
Many other brands make jeans in the USA but use third-party factories in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and El Paso. Those brands are listed separately below.

Major jean brands no longer made in USA
Levi’s, Wrangler, and Lee no longer manufacture jeans in America. Both Levi’s and Wrangler offered Made in USA jeans until recently, priced over $200, but those lines have been discontinued.
The same is true of AG Jeans and Lucky Brand, despite their lingering reputation for American-made products.
There are no longer any household names manufacturing jeans in the USA. The brands on this list are what remain.

Todd Shelton
Four thigh fits. High rise on every jean. Inseams from 26 to 38 inches. Made in the Todd Shelton New Jersey factory since 2012.
Todd Shelton makes all-cotton jeans with inseams from 26 to 38 inches. Inseam lengths include 28, 29, 31, and 35 inches for men who need in-between or extended lengths.
What should an American-made jean cost?
Levi’s and Wrangler sold Made in USA jeans for around $250-$275 just a few years ago. Those lines have since been discontinued, but the pricing reveals something important: even mass-market brands arrived at a similar cost structure when manufacturing domestically.
American labor costs and factory overhead are the primary drivers. American factories also operate at a fraction of the scale of offshore facilities, which keeps per-unit costs higher. A $300 american made jean reflects what it actually costs to make one here.
The origin of American-made jeans
In 1873, the US government granted Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis a patent for adding rivets to men’s work pants. It was the first Made in USA jean. In the 150 years since, jeans have moved from workwear to the most worn garment in America.
