T-shirt size is determined by shoulder and chest width. Eight sizes, each 1/2 inch wider across the shoulders and 1 inch wider across the chest than the size before it.
How to measure chest and shoulders
Lay the t-shirt face up on a flat, rigid surface. Chest: measure across the t-shirt, 1 inch below the armhole. Shoulders: measure across the shoulder seams, point to point.
Three neck fits: Standard, High, and Low. High is 1/4 inch tighter than Standard; Low is 1/2 inch looser. High and Low are made to order in Modular.
How to measure neck width
Lay the t-shirt on a flat, rigid surface. Smooth the neckline. Measure across the neck opening, seam to seam.
Two fits: Slim and Standard. Fit affects stomach and sleeve width; shoulder width is the same for both. Slim is 1 inch narrower at the stomach and 1/2 inch narrower at the [bicep/elbow] than Standard. Standard measurements are in the size chart.
How to measure fit
Lay the t-shirt face up on a flat, rigid surface. Smooth out wrinkles and folds, including any folded under the back of the shirt. Measure across the t-shirt, halfway between the armhole and the bottom hem.
Short sleeve: 9 inches in standard order. 8 and 10 inches are made to order in Modular. Long sleeve: 32 to 36 inches in standard order. 31 and 37 inches are made to order in Modular.
How to measure sleeve length
Lay the t-shirt on a flat, rigid surface. Short sleeve: measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. Long sleeve: measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff, then measure across the shoulders and divide by 2. Add the two numbers. Example: a 25-inch sleeve measurement and a 9.5-inch half-shoulder width give a 34.5-inch sleeve length.
Seven lengths, in 1-inch increments. Five lengths, from 2 inches shorter to 2 inches longer than Standard, are available in standard order. The 3-inch shorter and 3-inch longer lengths are made to order in Modular.
