Shoulder and chest width determine your shirt size. We offer 11 sizes, each 1/2 inch wider across the shoulders and 1 inch wider across the chest than the previous size.
How to measure chest and shoulders
Button all the buttons on the placket. Lay your shirt face up on a flat, rigid surface, such as a table. To measure chest, place your measuring tape across the shirt, 1 inch below the armhole. To measure shoulders, place your measuring tape across the shoulder seams, from point to point.
We offer two collar options: point and button-down.
Button-down collars have buttons on the outside of collars.
Point collars do not have buttons on the outside of collars, but hidden buttons to keep the collar from spreading open (their use is optional). When wearing a tie, the hidden buttons should not be used. Point collars also have sleeves for collar stays.
How to measure neck width
Unbutton your shirt completely and lay it flat on a rigid surface. Place your measuring tape across the center of the collar band, from the center of one button to the center of the corresponding buttonhole.
We offer four stomach fit options, each separated by 1 inch across the stomach.
How to measure stomach
Lay your shirt face up on a flat, rigid surface, such as a table. Smooth out all wrinkles and folds, especially any hidden folds on the back of the shirt. Place your measuring tape across the shirt, halfway between the armhole and the bottom hem.
Sleeve fit accounts for the roominess of your shirt sleeve, from bicep to forearm. We offer Slim and Standard fit options.
How to measure sleeve fit
Sleeve fit is measured at the elbow, across the sleeve.
We offer sleeve lengths from 31 to 37, separated by 1/2 inch.
How to measure sleeve length
To calculate sleeve length, combine your sleeve length measurement with half of your shoulder width measurement. The shoulder width measurement affects sleeve length because it determines how much fabric extends over the shoulder and into the length of the arm.
Measure down the sleeve, from the top of the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. Measure across the shoulders and divide by 2. Add the two measurements together. For example, if your sleeve length measured 25 inches and half of your shoulder width is 9.5 inches, your sleeve length is 34.5 inches.
Your height, belly size, and tucking preference determine your ideal shirt length. We offer 7 lengths in 1-inch increments.
If you plan to wear your shirt untucked, the shirt hem should end at the middle of the jeans or pants zipper. If you plan to wear your shirt tucked, the shirt should be long enough to stay tucked in when reaching above your head.
How to measure length
We measure overall shirt length by measuring the placket length. The placket is the strip of fabric that runs down the center front of the shirt, where the buttons and buttonholes are located. The placket length is measured from the seam where the collar band meets the placket down to the bottom hem of the shirt.
