Original 13

Original 13 Dark wash is an all-cotton men's jean made in the USA from 13 oz Japanese selvedge denim. 13 oz is the heavier of the two weights in the collection. Selvedge denim is woven on a narrow shuttle loom, producing a self-finished edge on the outseams. The fabric has been sourced from Kuroki mills since 2012. The jean is made in-house at the Todd Shelton New Jersey factory. Original 13 is the longest-running product in the collection.

Original 13 is available in four thigh fits: Lean, Basic, Relaxed, and Athletic, in standard and high rise. Waist sizes are available in one-inch increments from 28–40. Inseams start at 26" for shorter men and extend to 38" for taller men, available in one-inch increments.

Dark wash starts as a deep navy with a clean finish. The factory uses a light enzyme wash to soften the denim while maintaining full color depth across the jean. After ten or more launderings, the denim gradually fades to a medium blue. The denim is washed before the jean is made. After construction, the jean is washed again. Every jean goes through a 6-point measurement check before shipping.
