Do-it-Yourself Pant Measuring

To determine what size to order use your best fitting pant. For best results, follow this measurement process prior to ordering.

Waist

1By Todd Shelton

To gauge your waist measurement, button the pant, lay on a flat surface and remove any slack across the waistband, by tugging on it sideways. Measure across from the left midpoint of the waistband to the right midpoint. Measuring twice will produce better results. Start over by picking up the jean and repeating the above steps.

Seat circumference can be evaluated as follows: measure 3 inches straight above the crotch seam (see arrow location of crotch seam in illustration at right); mark visually the 3-inch point; at the 3-inch visual mark, measure across the pant side to side. It is important to ensure the pant is flat and all folds, visible or hidden on the back side of the jean, are smoothed out.
